What is the refinishing process?

Refinishing is the process of preparing a fixture such as a bathtub to receive a specially formulated coating. We use high grade polyurethanes only. These finishes are very durable, longlasting and produce a great finished product. First we clean the fixture with a 3 stage cleaner, then it is sanded to remove foreign agents and a bonding agent is applied. After repairs are made, we apply 5 top coats of our special high grade polyurethane coating.

How long does the process take?

  

Do I need to leave the home?

The typical bathtub or tile job can be completed in less than 3 hours. You can use your newly refinished fixture the next day, after drying.

  

Yes, for safety, but only until the refinishing is completed. This is due to fumes that must be   removed from the home.

Is a contractor license required?

  

Can I do this myself?
No, Our company's not required to be licensed by the state, as stated within Chapter 12 0f the California State Contractors Licensing laws. We do  however maintain a license in the City of Livermore and have since 1998.   The best jobs are completed by the pros, but if you cannot afford a professional there are DIY products. We only recommend the ones listed at www.refinishingonline.com.

Our warranty covers chipping, flaking, peeling or yellowing of your refinished fixture. A 10 year warranty for tiles, showers and bathtubs. 1 year warranty for sinks, counters and vanities.
